Gin is one of the most versatile and exciting spirits on the market, being used to make gin & tonic - a classic staple drink. However, many people do forget that there are a number of other things you can do with your gin, aside from make G&Ts. Here at Vemacity, we have a true passion for gin and we believe that this drink can create really memorable experiences for you and those closest to you. We have put together a list of some of the ways you can enjoy gin, rather than the standard gin and tonic.
Long Island Iced Tea
Tequila, vodka, triple sec, gin, and rum - with coke, lemon juice and Gomme syrup, this cocktail is a timeless favourite which is enjoyed by all. It has been enjoyed by cocktail lovers across the globe since the 1980s, which has earned a reputation as one of the most potent drinks. It can easily be recreated at home, with countless different recipes across the internet helping you to prepare your favourite long island iced tea.
Gin & Tonic Cake
Who doesn’t love cake? So, what better way is there to enjoy your favourite spirit, than with a cake? Many recipes are normally just a Victoria Sponge type recipe with proportional ingredients for the cake such as the butter, sugar, flour and eggs - with the addition of your favourite flavour of gin. There are a number of different variations of the same theme, but is very much an adults-only take on the fresh-tasting confection.
Enjoy It Neat
Gin is great when it's standing on its own, with some gins tasting like a cocktail when straight out of the bottle. When combined with a couple of ice cubes and a lime wedge, gin is beautifully infused with botanicals, then redistilled - so has some gorgeous flavours which shouldn’t always be overpowered by tonic. Drinking gin neat is rising in popularity, often being an absolute pleasure to consume.
Infused With Tea
This may seem like a completely absurd suggestion, but tea-infused gin cocktails have started becoming increasingly popular. One of the most popular tea cocktails is the Earl Grey Martini which blends the floral and citrusy flavour of the tea with aromatic gin - perfect when strained into a chilled cocktail glass.
Gin & Tonic Cookies
Gin and tonic biscuits have all the flavours of your favourite refreshing summer drink, but within yummy, soft and crumbly biscuits. They have the recognisable flavour of gin and can be garnished with gorgeous flavours such as juniper, pomegranate, and rosemary. They are the perfect substitute when sitting back and relaxing with a refreshing drink in your hand simply isn't feasible.
As much as there are many new and modern ways to enjoy gin, you can never go wrong with a classic gin & tonic. We are a dedicated company who completely understand the importance of glassware for gin & tonics, as good balloon glasses allow you to take in the aroma of the gin and fully experience it while sipping. We have designed our own Copa gin glasses which would be perfect for any gin lover, especially because they become presented in a gorgeous gift box.
