Negroni

A simple drink with just 3 ingredients stirred together.  The Negroni was first inspired by a thoughtful hero in Florence and the thought process was to replace soda water with gin. It only asks for one part gin, one part sweet vermouth and one part Campari and comes garnished with flavourful orange peel.  It is not shaken but stirred and built over ice.  Enjoy to the fullest!

Ingredients

• 30 ml gin
• 30 ml sweet vermouth
• 60 ml Campari
• Twist of orange peel to garnish

Equipment: Mixing glass, strainer

Method

• Pour gin into a mixing glass with ice.
• Add vermouth and Campari.
• Stir well and strain into a tall glass with ice.
• Serve garnished with orange peel.

Food pairing: Salty, bacony dishes, and bold cheeses.
