Incredible Gin Cocktails You Need To Try

Gin is one of the most popular liquors as it has characteristics that no other drink has. It is the base of many great cocktails - being a firm favourite in the warmer months. Here at Vemacity, the business was born from two friend's passion for great gin, so we have our fair share of beloved cocktails to talk about. To help you get started, we have put together some of our personal favourite gin cocktails that will elevate the experience of drinking gin at home.

Tom Collins

The Tom Collins is one of the earliest cocktails ever created at the end of the 19th century and remains popular to this day. This classic cocktail is a simple mix of gin, lemon and sugar syrup, shaken over ice.

It is very easy to make and can easily be tailored easily to your specific tastes. For example, the flavour of elderflower using cordial or liqueur is a gorgeous twist - especially because elderflower and lemon is a winning combination. All you need to do is mix the drink as normal, but use the liqueur or cordial in place of the sugar syrup.

French 75

This sparkling cocktail is a combination of gin, lemon juice, and Champagne - a beautifully refreshing, herbal, and effervescent beverage. Just combine the gin and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of the shaker is very cold for about 20 seconds. Place this cocktail in a gorgeous gin balloon glass and top with Champagne - the perfect gin-themed cocktail for the summer.

Gin Mojito

The Mojito is a very classic cocktail which quickly became one of the most popular drinks of the new millennium. However, if you are not a fan of rum you can easily put a fun twist on this drink to make a refreshing summer cocktail, perfect to enjoy at gin o'clock. All you need to do is add your chosen gin, lime wedges, and sugar with a few mint leaves to one of your favourite fancy gin glasses. Top it up with crushed ice and garnish it with fresh mint and you will have a delicious Mojito with a gin and tonic twist - perfect for any gin lover!

Gimlet

The Gimlet is often known as the summer alternative to the classic martini. Being made with lime and simple syrup, paired with your personal favourite gin, this drink is sweet and refreshing. It’s also very simple to make, so you know you are going to be waiting for everyone to praise you for your excellent bartending skills at your next BBQ. We recommend using a premium London dry gin for this cocktail, as the botanicals used in that style both contrast and complement the lime - creating a gorgeously balanced cocktail that you are guaranteed to enjoy.

Monkey Gland

One of the most popular combinations out there is gin and orange juice, with the sweetened combination of this cocktail becoming a firm favourite across the globe. The monkey gland is a refreshing and fruity cocktail which an intoxicating and delightful aroma, which is garnished with an orange slice or a burnt orange peel.
